Michael Chemweno

Currently serving as General Manager at Atlas Tea Brokers Ltd, Michael brings a powerful blend of technical knowledge and strategic leadership to the organization. He holds an MBA from the University of Nairobi and a BSc in Food Science and Technology, which support his deep understanding of both operational and quality aspects of the tea industry. His career has spanned critical roles, including General Manager at Afribridge Trade Exporters and Tea Executive at Combrok Tea Brokers. Early in his career, he worked at KTDA as a Production Manager, where he developed strong factory networks and contributed to industry-wide best practices. He also served as the first Chairman of the Tea Board of Kenya’s Quality Improvement initiative, which aimed to elevate factory standards and promote adherence to good manufacturing practices nationwide. Michael’s tenure at Atlas has been marked by operational efficiency, expanded market engagement, and measurable growth.
