GENERAL INFORMATION

Atlas facilitates tea sales through the Mombasa auction and private channels. We provide valuation, sample handling, market insights, and advisory services to both tea producers and international buyers.

We’re headquartered in Mombasa, Kenya, at Shree Plaza Building, 4th Floor, Fidel Odinga Road, Nyali. This location places us at the heart of East Africa’s tea trade and close to the auction center.

We serve tea producers (factories and farmers), exporters, international buyers, regulators, and other trade stakeholders. Our services are tailored to help both sellers and buyers navigate the tea market effectively.

We do not handle full consignments. We work with certified warehouses who manage the tea. Atlas receives and manages samples drawn from stored teas, which we then taste, evaluate, and send to potential buyers.

You can call us at +254 729 404 044 or +254 782 404 044. You can also email us via info@atlastea.co.ke or visit www.atlastea.co.ke for more information and contact options.

AUCTION REPRESENTATION

We register and represent tea consignments at the Mombasa Tea Auction, ensuring proper grading, positioning, and visibility to maximize returns. We also manage sample flow and buyer engagement pre-auction.

Yes. We connect producers directly with vetted international buyers, structure the terms of sale, and ensure compliance. This model allows for flexible volume agreements and tailored pricing structures.

Prices are influenced by quality, demand, competition, seasonal shifts, and buyer interest. We guide producers on reserve prices using our deep understanding of trends and buyer preferences.

We assist new producers with documentation, registration, valuation training, auction on-boarding, and strategic advice on how to introduce their teas to both auction and private buyers.

Absolutely. Every tea we list has gone through tasting, valuation, and sample sharing. Our reputation is built on transparency, quality assurance, and responsible trade representation.

QUALITY ASSESSMENT

Our experienced tasters assess each sample based on leaf appearance, liquor color, flavor, aroma, and consistency. We prepare detailed tasting notes that help both producers and buyers make informed decisions.

Licensed warehouses draw random, standardized samples from stored lots. These are sealed, labeled, and delivered to us for professional evaluation and distribution to registered buyers.

Each report contains liquor quality, strength, brightness, leaf appearance, and any defects. We also provide a valuation estimate and sale recommendations tailored to the current market.

Yes. We offer actionable feedback to producers to help them refine processing techniques and improve product consistency. For high-potential teas, we may recommend specific positioning strategies.

Samples are packaged and dispatched to registered buyers well ahead of each auction. This allows them to taste the teas in advance and be fully prepared to bid strategically.
